Galen K. Haas, DDS
Meet Dr. Galen Haas

Dr. Galen K. Haas is the founder and CEO of Fairview Dental. He has worked with thousands of patients in the surrounding five states, including Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Alaska providing gentle, pain-free and leading edge dentistry to people just like you. He’s been in the Lewiston Morning Tribune, and you may have heard him on Big Country Radio or on KLEW TV and Comcast.
A native of the great state of Wyoming, where he was raised in a family of ranchers and farmers. Galen spent his early years helping his family with the farm and cattle they raised. A 4-H, basketball and track member he passed his high school years competing and learning the valuable skills of hard work and determination, including winning a Wyoming State Championship in Basketball.
After high school he attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming where he received a bachelor of science and decided to become a dentist. After graduating he went to dental school for four years in the city of Seattle, WA at the prestigious University of Washington where he met the love of his life, Maryann, a fellow student at the University getting her undergraduate degree. They married and started a dental practice, along with a family in Lewiston, ID in 1975 where they’ve been ever since.
Proud to have been serving the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley and surrounding area for 39 years, Dr. Galen K. Haas has been a leader in his field bringing new dental technology to the Valley. He was one of the first dentists to start using digital x-rays and in 2002 he also introduced the Valley to Cerec technology with its ground-breaking one-visit, in-house crowns, inlays and onlays. Dr. Haas prides himself on running a state of the art dental practice, but in the community he’s known for his painless injections and dentistry.
He recently achieved a milestone he’s been looking forward to, having his son join his practice as a dentist and prosthodontic specialist. It’s been one of the highlights of his career, and together they’ve continued to bring new technology, ideas and better dentistry to the Valley, including the newest in x-ray technology.
In 2011, the doctors had a cone-beam scanner put in the office. It scans and recreates in 3-D the entire jaw and facial structure of patients allowing for better, earlier diagnosis and treatment. He looks forward to new adventures and new technology to bring to his practice.
When he’s not busy attending to patients, Galen spends his time on his favorite cause helping animals get the treatment and find the homes they need. He is a regular contributor to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the Bestfriends Organization for animal welfare, and the local Humane Society. He also enjoys spending time with his dog, Ellie, a rescue he adopted last thanksgiving from a local shelter, reading westerns, perfecting his barbecue skills, and camping in McCall ID or relaxing on the Oregon Coast.
